The
Cruising basin is 80 miles long and 20 miles wide,
and is protected from the Ocean swell. Although,
SwanSexy is willing to sail around the capes and
cross to Rio or Ilhabela, day or night, to give
a taste of bluewater cruising.
This
area of Brasil is generally safe and is far from
the danger of big cities. Boats and cruisers of
all the world spent years in these waters and never
lock their companionway. Most of the nights are
spent in remote coves and bays, or in front of fishing
villages whose inhabitants are very hospitable and
willing to provide fresh fish and vegetables. The
fish and vegetables markets of Parati and Angra
dos Reis are an experience of its own. There is
no other place in the world with the same variety
of flavours and traditions. Special cruises available.
